We pride ourselves in having all of our facilities under one roof, including an in-house laboratory for test results, cat boarding and surgical suites.
Our team is built from pet lovers and every one of them, from our receptionists to our nurses and vets are invested in your animal’s care.

Dr. Peter Bartram
Head Veterinarian and Practice Owner
Peter is a highly qualified and experienced Veterinarian with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Peter studied at Melbourne University and completed his residency at the University of California. Peter and his wife Jane have two beautiful English Pointers and breed Warmblood horses. Peter enjoys a good glass of red on the weekend.

Diane Turner
Head Veterinary Nurse
Di has been a Veterinary Nurse for over 17 years and has been working at Rose City Vets for 6 years. Di has been in the local area for over 20 years and was originally from England, although she grew up in Berlin, Germany. Di enjoys country music, movie marathons and home renovations. Di likes to confuse her work colleagues with her random pommy sayings.

Dr. Phoebe Kean
Associate Veterinarian
Phoebe graduated from Veterinary Medicine at Murdoch University in 2018 and has worked at Rose City Vets for 4 years. Phoebe grew up in ‘The Green Wedge’ of outer Melbourne surrounded by an assortment of animals from pocket pets to horses. Phoebe enjoys playing netball, skiing and bush walking. She is in fact, the crazy cat lady of Benalla.

Nicole Exton
Veterinary Nurse
Nicole became a fully qualified Veterinary Nurse in January 2020 but has been training and working at Rose City Vets for 6 years. Nicole was born and raised a Benalla gal and owns farmland in the local area with her husband. Nicole is a horse lover and enjoys horse riding, yoga and spending time with her two kelpies Rex and Ruby. Nicole has been known to eat a whole block of chocolate in one afternoon!

Zoe Taylor
Veterinary Nurse
Zoe has worked on and off between children at Rose City Vets since 2013. Zoe currently works three days a week and always finds a way to put a smile on everyone’s face with her sparky personality. Zoe enjoys gardening, her menagerie (dogs, cats, chickens, ferrets and children) and spending time at home.

Rhianna London
Trainee Veterinary Nurse
Rhianna was born and raised in Benalla and has always had a passion for helping animals. Rhianna is the newest member of our Rose City Vets team and started her Veterinary Nurse traineeship at the beginning of 2021. During her spare time Rhianna enjoys playing with her dogs Tilly and Lexi, socialising, and watching her favourite TV show Greys Anatomy.
